Custom Exterior Mural for Alchemy Wellness
Alchemy Wellness commissioned Brianna Gardocki to create a custom exterior mural for its holistic wellness space in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The mural covered a large 54 ft. x 13 ft. wall and was designed to give the building a more colorful, welcoming presence.
The project needed artwork that reflected the spirit of the business while holding up visually at a large scale. Brianna developed a mural centered on transformation, balance, natural elements, and the visual language of alchemy.

The Project Goal
Alchemy Wellness wanted the exterior wall to feel more connected to the identity of the space. As a holistic wellness business, the artwork needed to feel calm, organic, and visually engaging without becoming too quiet for a large outdoor surface.
The mural also needed to work with the scale of the wall. At 54 ft. wide, the design had to carry movement across a long horizontal space while still giving visitors details to notice up close.
The Design Approach
Brianna created a design inspired by alchemy, plant life, celestial imagery, and the feeling of personal transformation. The mural uses flowing shapes, symbolic details, and bright color to give the wall a sense of movement across the full surface.
The composition was designed to feel open and balanced. Larger shapes helped the mural read from a distance, while smaller details gave the artwork personality for people entering the space or walking nearby.
Developing the Final Design
During the design process, Brianna refined the layout so the mural would better fit the wall’s long exterior format. The final design used repeated organic forms, warm color, and symbolic elements to connect the artwork back to Alchemy Wellness without making the mural feel overly literal.
The final composition gave the building a stronger visual identity while still matching the calm, holistic tone of the business.
Installation
The mural was painted directly onto the exterior wall using the approved design as a guide. The large wall size required careful planning so the shapes, linework, and proportions stayed consistent across the full surface.
Because the mural was outdoors, the installation also required attention to weather, wall texture, and visibility. Brianna worked section by section to build the color, details, and final outlines across the full 54 ft. wall.
The Finished Mural
The completed mural turned the exterior wall into a more recognizable and inviting part of the wellness space. The artwork brought color and movement to the building while giving Alchemy Wellness a visual identity that felt connected to its purpose.
As one of Brianna’s early large-scale exterior murals, the project also helped shape the site-specific mural process she continues to use today: building the concept around the client, the wall, and the way people experience the space.
