Custom Commercial Mural for Rebel Raw
Brianna Gardocki created Healthy, Happy Pets for Rebel Raw’s brick facade in Atlanta, Georgia. The exterior commercial mural was completed as part of the Atlanta BeltLine Facade pARTnership.
The project gave Rebel Raw’s building a clearer public-facing identity. Brianna’s design paired painted signage with large animal artwork across the front facade, helping the business name and mural work together as one exterior treatment.

The Project Goal
The Atlanta BeltLine Facade pARTnership gave Rebel Raw an opportunity to improve how the building presented itself from the outside. The existing brick facade had the scale for a strong mural, but the exterior did not yet reflect the business’s updated visual identity.
Rebel Raw wanted the building to feel more polished and approachable while still fitting the playful nature of a pet-focused business. The mural also needed to support the way the exterior would be used, including customer visits, parking lot events, and community-facing moments around the building.

The Design Approach
Brianna designed the mural around large pet characters, bright color, and a clear painted wordmark. The dog on the left and the cat on the right give the facade an immediate read from a distance, while the smaller animals near the entrance bring detail closer to the customer’s point of view.
The Rebel Raw wordmark was painted directly into the mural. This helped the business name feel integrated with the artwork instead of added separately as signage.
The color palette uses pink, teal, yellow, and green to give the brick wall a stronger presence from the parking lot and nearby street. The finished design feels playful, but still clean enough for a business facade.

Coordinating the Facade Project
Because the mural was part of the Atlanta BeltLine Facade pARTnership, the project required coordination before painting began. Brianna worked through the approval process, facade requirements, and design revisions with the business owners and project partners.
The wall had several existing conditions that affected the mural plan. Brianna had to account for brick texture, doors, windows, railings, exterior fixtures, and areas where old signage needed to be removed or replaced. The final design needed to fit those constraints while still reading as one clear mural across the building.
That planning shaped the finished work. The mural had to serve Rebel Raw’s business goals while also meeting the requirements of a large exterior facade project.

Painting the Brick Facade
The mural was painted directly onto the exterior brick. Brick is a textured surface, so clean shapes and readable linework required careful paint application across the wall.
The scale of the facade also shaped the installation. Large character forms had to stay readable from farther away, while smaller details near the entrance needed to hold up at close range.

The Finished Mural
The completed mural gives Rebel Raw a brighter and more recognizable exterior. The building now carries the business name, large animal artwork, and a clear visual identity across the front wall.
From the parking lot and surrounding area, the mural makes the facade easier to identify. Up close, the smaller animals and painted details give customers more to notice near the entrance.
The finished wall also gives Rebel Raw a colorful backdrop for photos, events, and everyday customer visits.

Commercial Murals for Businesses
A commercial mural can make a plain facade easier to recognize and give customers a clearer sense of the business before they walk in. For storefronts, restaurants, studios, and other customer-facing spaces, the right mural can connect the exterior of the building to the experience inside.
